Custom Roles

Custom roles let you define granular permissions for team members beyond the three built-in roles.

Built-in Roles

RoleDescription
OwnerFull access, including billing and danger zone
AdminFull access except billing and ownership transfer
MemberView and operate on data, limited settings access

Creating Custom Roles

  1. Go to Settings > Roles
  2. Click Create Role
  3. Name the role (e.g., “Shipping Manager”)
  4. Select permissions from the available list
  5. Save

Assigning Custom Roles

Assign custom roles when inviting or editing members:

  1. Go to Settings > Members
  2. Select a member
  3. Change their role to your custom role
  4. Save
